Upswing is an award winning company at the forefront of contemporary circus in the UK.

Upswing uses circus to create performances that interact playfully with theatre, dance, text and multimedia, to create fresh, exhilarating experiences with narrative punch.

Our shows and participatory projects encourage the people we meet to see the possibility of the extraordinary in themselves and each other.

As we enter an ambitious new phase in the company’s history, we are looking for a passionate and solid all-rounder, who shares our ethos of excellence, inclusion and innovation to fulfill the role of General Manager. This is a key position in the senior management team and the successful candidate will be instrumental in the development and growth of the organization working closely with Artistic Director and Founder Vicki Amedume and Executive Director Camille Bensoussan.

The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple and varied functions to ensure the smooth running of the company across operations, finance and administration.

We welcome applicants seeking to work flexibly and from a variety of backgrounds – we are interested in connecting with anyone who feels they have the experience to support and strengthen our team – this might be a background in arts admin, production/project management, event logistics or in another creative sector.
