Come with us on a journey, we promise to bring you back in one piece, but maybe with a slightly different view on things. What was impossible, is in fact possible. What was real, is actually unreal.

Welcome to Upswing. Let us turn your world upside down!

Upswing have swung and spun their way through a stunning array of multi-disciplinary performances: from old skool hip hop and young love, through African mythology and Kenyan acrobatics, to an Olympic descent of Nelson's column that sent a silk banner cascading down this familiar monument. The aerial and circus world of Upswing is poignant, unpredictable, and eloquent.

Upswing's next open workshop is 'Junior Aerial Skills workshop' and is taking place on 17th February. Look at our news page for details.

After an exciting 2011 (our Spring tour of our own show Fallen, a collaboration on the RSC's Little Eagles presented at the Hampstead Theatre, two Circus Bites evenings at The Albany, a series of aerial performances at the City Of London Festival just behind St Paul's, presentation of our solo show Skin at Watch This Space festival, our annual Step Up training and public workshops), 2012 promises to be even bigger and better:
- Old (working title): research and development on our new project exploring the idea of what it means to live in an ageing body and how it affects our perception of self and our place in the world.
- The Moment When: a collaboration with Walk The Plank and Cheshire Dance, part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad
- Loved Up: tour of this popular show mixing street dance and bungee over the summer. Exact dates and locations to be confirmed soon.
- Red Shoes: creation and tour of this new outdoor show inspired by the classic Anderson's fairytale, featuring Chinese pole.
- workshops and masterclasses.
